Our “Why” for the program: Following the pandemic we saw an increase in children struggling with mental illness and a decrease in available services. We have learned that therapy alone can’t fix the challenges facing our children. They need to feel supported especially by their peers. F.I.T. is committed to developing shared experiences that help people feel more supported and connected. We believe our community letter writing campaign will help empower our teen population while also serving our younger children. One of the key ways to help yourself feel better especially when you are struggling is to help others. Our teen girls will share their stories with younger girls in the hopes it will help them feel less alone. For the young girls who participate they will receive a letter in the mail, motivation stickers + 1 tip or trick they can practice or add into to their day to help them feel more confident.

If you have a daughter who is between the ages of 10-14 and you feel a letter from one of our empowerment leaders could help brighten her day then please join us in our effort to provide girls with opportunities that help them realize their worth. We ask for a $5 donation. All proceeds will be donated to one of our partner charities that is focused on empowering girls. Here are some of the charities we support: morgansmessage.org, Women for Women International, Girls, Inc.
